HM 310:

Hospitality Work Experience

 

What is HM 310?

  • HM310 is any Hospitality based work experience/s in which you are to complete 600 hours of work.

  • This is a “0” credit class and does not have set class hours or lectures.

  • This course is completed during  your sophomore or  junior year.

  • These 600 hours are to be completed within the hospitality industry.

  • This course and your experience will provide a competitive advantage for your supervisory internship (HM402) as well as a permanent employment position.

Work Hours

  • Total all hours of experience logged from all companies or organizations

    • Use Form "A"  provided

  • Hours are to be recorded and logged for each company or organization logged on Form "A".

    • Use Form "B" provided

Due Dates

For students enrolled in the Fall, forms will be electronically submitted through Canvas by 5pm October 15th.

For students enrolled in the Spring, forms will be electronically submitted through Canvas by 5pm February 16th.

 

***After all forms are turned in, all enrolled students will recieve a Doodle poll via their JMU email addresses where you will sign up for an exit interview.  The final step is a 30 minute non-formal group exit interview held in Godwin 373 with Reg where each student is required to bring their most up to date resume***
