Writing a Cover Letter

A cover can be viewed as an extension of your resume and should expand upon the relevant points that relate to the job opportunity you are applying for. It should provide your hiring manager with a personal statement of how your experiences, personality traits and credentials could positively impact their company. It is also important to remember that your cover letter, like your resume, is one of the employer’s first impressions of you. This is why it’s so important to make sure it is well written and concise, as cover letters are typically one page in length.
