Resumes 101

 

Your resume should summarize your education, work experience, extracurricular involvement, accomplishments and another relevant information you want to get across to the hiring manager. It should be organized and well thought out, as it is one of the first tings the employer will see.

 

Five aspects of a resume include:

 

Contact information

Objective

Educations

Coursework

Experiences and activities 

 

Most industry professionals suggest college level students should keep their resume to one page and avoid bright colors or pictures. However don’t let this hinder your creativity. Try to find layouts and designs that are still professional but help your resume to stand out.
